Do you have a question about the Book of Mormon you'd like to have answered? Ask the Book of Mormon Answer Guy!If I don't know the answer, I will research it and get an answer for you.All I ask is two things: First, that you submit questions that you really want to know the answer to, and that you not use this service as a soapbox or platform from which to launch attacks on the LDS faith. The second thing I ask is that you not apply a different standard to the Book of Mormon than you would to the Bible. The fact of the matter is, most of the attacks that anti-Mormons level at the Book of Mormon are, if you have read and believe in the Bible, just plain silly . In fact, I've written an article about this very topic, called "The Double Standard." Please don't misunderstand - we believe the Bible is the word of God. We also believe the Book of Mormon is the word of God. Is there controversy surrounding the Book of Mormon? Of course there is, and there always will be, just as controversy will always surround the Bible and the events described therein until Christ comes to this earth again. Anyone who truly seeks the truth should read the Book of Mormon, and then, prayerfully ask God if it is true. So, now that I've gotten that off my chest, here's your opportunity to ask "The Book of Mormon Answer Guy" . Go ahead. You know you want to! : ) Sincerely, Mike Sageloff, The-Book-of-Mormon.com You must remove the (remove-this-part) from the email address or it won't get to me! |

By the Hand of Mormon: The American Scripture That Launched a New World Religion by Terryl L. Givens c. 2002 Oxford University Press Givens, a non-Mormon professor at the University of Richmond has written a thickly detailed book covering the theology and history of the Book of Mormon and its influences on American culture. For scholars of American religious movements and those with more than a passing interest in the LDS Church, this book is a worthy place to begin one's research and study.
